The German-Cuban singer and actress Karen Danger-Manafzade was born in Munich, Germany. Starting her career as a singer and dancer at the early age of eleven, she´s spent most of her life on stage, performing as a solo artist and in musicals. Karen began her dance education at the age of six and studied ballet and modern dance at the „Ballett-Tanz-Akademie“ Bonivento Dazzi in Regensburg, Germany. When she was ten, her mother explored Karen´s passion and love for singing and supported her in her career as a singer and artist. Karen won several Prizes at the German Competition “Jugend Musiziert”. 2013 1st Prize in the category “Pop singing”, 2012 1st Prize in the category “Musical” and 2010 3rd Prize in the Category “Pop singing”. At the age of 19, she moved to Vienna to study singing, acting, dancing, and musical theater at the Conservatory in Vienna (2016-2019). From 2021 to 2022 she studied “Classical Operetta” at the “Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna” and got her Austrian State Diploma at the “Raimund Theater Wien” for singing, dancing, and acting. Danger-Manafzade studied singing with Viviana Araiza Staffini, Julia Leiter, Previn Moore and Patricia Nessy.   During her time at the Conservatory, she began to work as an actress and model for film and commercial productions. In 2019, Karen married the Azerbaijani conductor, pianist, and composer Abuzar Manafzade. Through him she found the love to also sing Azerbaijani and Turkish repertoire. She performed as a soloist in many cities in Germany, in Vienna, Salzburg, Warsaw, Positano, Amsterdam, Istanbul, and Barcelona as well as at the State Philharmonic Hall in Baku, Azerbaijan. 2021-2022 Concert Season Karen performed in the Operette “Fledermaus” by Johann Strauss as “PRINZ ORLOFSKY” and “FROSCH” in Vienna. In 2021 she had an engagement as “CONSUELO” for the Musical Production “WEST SIDE STORY” at the biggest open-air Festival for Operetta and Classical Musical in the world. In 2019 she performed at the German Premiere of “CARMEN THE MUSICAL” in Austria. In 2018 she sang the role “DOMINIQUE DU MONACO” in the Musical “LUCKY STIFF”. Karen Danger-Manafzade lives in Vienna and continue her artistic career as classical singer and film actress.
